Proposal on Simplifying Infotainment Systems for Safer Roads

In my Proposal and Grant-Seeking class, I explored the critical need for improvements in infotainment systems to enhance road safety. With technology becoming a core aspect of the driving experience, these systems often contribute to driver distraction, increasing the risk of accidents. My research focused on how infotainment systems can be redesigned to prioritize safety while maintaining functionality and user engagement. Drawing from a range of credible sources, including academic journals and industry reports, I conducted a comprehensive analysis of the challenges and potential solutions. The project was developed in Adobe InDesign, utilizing paragraph and character styles for a professional layout, with supporting graphics created in Adobe Illustrator to effectively convey key insights. This project allowed me to merge my research and design skills, highlighting the role of thoughtful design in addressing pressing real-world issues and reinforcing my dedication to have a safer world.

TRIBE RETURNS

As the ticket ladies open the gates for the game, the students of Utica High school pour through and race to get the front row spots of the student section. After a long year of unexpected twists and turns, protocols changed to let the stands go back to full capacity again.

OUT OF THE WOODWORK

This is no ordinary classroom. The unmistakable scent of sawdust floods into the nose, country music fills the air, and students work individually or in small groups, completing various projects. The woodworking rooms at Henry Ford II and Eisenhower allow students to express their creativity while learning valuable skills.

“I get to work on a lot of different stuff,” HFII student Andrew Kovach said. “There’s a ton of diversity in projects.”
